OT -- I don't understand what you are saying. Buchanan got almost 1% of the vote in PB county (3400 votes) -- he got 0.14% in next door Broward county, which votes similarly to PB. The interviews I saw said that people punched the second hole, realized that it was for Buchanan, then punched the Gore hole, disqualifying their ballot. The disqualified votes for president were five times more than normal. A total of more than 19,000 votes. We are not talking about a few hundred votes here anymore. This is close to 1% of the total votes cast in the entire state of Florida.

It seems that Gore clearly won Florida, just as the original projections based on exit polls showed. I think this is important news. I thought Bush would make it if the dispute was about the 3400 Buchanan votes. But now we are talking about close to 1% of the votes cast. And this jives nicely with the exit polls, which, according to their inventor who was interviewed on TV yesterday, failed only five times in 5000 elections.
