The campaigns are not run in an attempt to get the most popular votes, they are run to get the most electoral votes. That is spelled out clearly in the constitution and is understood very well by Gore, as evidenced in his speech today. He is just clouding the issue by bringing the popular vote up. The recount seems proper to me, but not a re-vote because a large amount of lazy minded voters failed to follow instruction, study the ballot or ask for a replacement after they spoiled theirs. It is clear many of these voters have voted many times in the past and should have known better. But, this time, not until the vote became close did they choose to do something about it. In essence they are attempting to close the barn doors after the horse has got out. BTW: I don't think who I am...I know who I am.
