Ventura in 2004. ??? What have you been smoking?

It's going to happen if he decides to run and he goes with Colon Powell or a woman. I was in college in Minnesota right after he decided to run and he was viewed as a joke. I got wind he was coming to my college and went to his speech. It was only about a 24 hour notice, so they planned on a small room, but had to move it to an auditorium that sat about 500. I bet almost everyone walked out of there voted Ventura even though they swore they'd never vote for this ex-pro wrestler that they were going to see just because he was a famous ex-pro wrestler. He has massive appeal to the middle. Think of the key issues that single handedly carry voters. Look at the large group that don't condone the Dems, but vote Dem because they'd never support the anti-abortion stance of the Republican's. Same with gun owners, they won't vote Democrat. There's a massive group that I find myself in that hate the Republicans telling us how to live our lives but wouldn't dare vote Democrat because we are sick of the way they waste our money. He also got the young vote that neither of these parties are appealing to currently.

In Minnesota, they voted Ventura for gov when most thought the Republican would win (it was close). At the same time, they just voted Gore. There's this massive middle group that gets turned off to the extremes of both parties that are dieing for a middle party. We'll see, but I think Ventura has a great shot for 2004. They can't dig up anymore dirt on him that he hasn't already admitted to and that didn't discourage the Minnesota voters.
