I can also tell from your quotes that both candidates were quite volatile in the last 24 hours, no doubt moving significantly on any new development. I would expect that volatility to continue tomorrow, FWIW.

By the way I did some quick calculations:

Counties Already Recounted 1.88m 1.7m 52.6% 47.4%
Counties Left 1.03m 1.2m 45.9% 54.1%

This is what will happen, after the recount, whoever has the most votes in FL will win. No way, no how, will they ever have a revote. Again, no freakin' way. After the recount (including the absentee ballots) either Bush or Gore will do the honorable thing.

This crap about the electoral voters taking things into their own hands would absolutely rip the country apart. Both candidates knew the rules of this election.
