Ob-

You must be aware that there are a large contingent of retired people in that county, so they are free during the day. In the group I saw yesterday on TV there were a couple of election observers that were interviewed, the majority said they were voters in the county.

Some people have real passion and yes, get shrieking mad when they feel their vote was stolen from them believe it or not.

I've been an election observer on more than one occasion (did a three hours stint this past Tues.) In one county screw-ups with a new ID requirement damn near turned into a poll riot. I put it down when I offered to get my Dem Party lawyers on the cell phone to straighten the crap out. The elderly lady Republican judges and poll workers had tears in their eyes and made me promise to stay until close which I couldn't do, but got the biggest, beefiest retired union guys I could find to relieve me. That was fine with them.
