unclewest, no one here would accuse you of experiencing loss of your mental capacity. Your opinion on this ballot simply doesn't count.

Have you ever seen a ballot, business form, test or any other form designed like that ballot? I haven't. It is confusing.

In order to understand how that ballot works, one must read the entire thing (2 columns), then construct in you mind how that ballot is laid out. If you read and respond to each column without comprehending the entire form, you will be confused.

When a voter enters the booth, they are likely to focus in on the candidate that they are most interested in "supporting", and punch the hole/flip the leaver/draw the "x". They don't study the damn ballot.

i wonder if a revote would be demanded if this was a republican majority county.

By the democrats? Of course not. By the republicans? Of course. It should be patently obvious that representatives of both parties are acting out of self-interest.

I would hope that we as a nation could be intellectually honest enough to examine the real issues, regardless of partisan bias (even if the party reps can't). The very integrity of our democratic system is at stake.
