"Dave there was a local election in miami that had a small group of local politicians working overtime to stuff the ballot box. It was a local election with a very small turnout - that is the only way that they could try and get by with it."

Thanks Wes, I didn't know exactly what the story was with that. Anyway, they may have gotten away with it in this election too, because the race was so close.

"The charges of people not being allowed to vote during open polling hours is still in the rumor status. It is interesting that no one complained when this supposedly happened but a day latter when Jesse Jackson showed up."

They DID complain when it happened. Rev. Jackson didn't just show up coincidentally; he went there in response to the complaints. His transporter beam was broken and he didn't get there until the next day. You didn't hear about it until then because the media didn't perk up its ears until he arrived. Poor Southern folks complaining about unfair treatment by good ole boys is hardly newsworthy.

"Palm Beach county is better known as the winter playground of the Kennedy's then red neck land."

The complaints of black folks being turned away during polling hours weren't in Palm Beach county. You must be thinking of the two-page ballot issue. This is the Confederate-flag-waving South we're talking about. This kind of thing happens whenever and wherever people think they can get away with it.
