On topic- johnd- This is what you have to watch out for in expecting a rapid Win2000 adoption:

Gerstner described the skills shortage "as another supply problem" but one
the company is working to correct. By the end of the year, IBM will have hired
9,000 outside people into its e-business services organization and retrained
10,000 existing staff. IBM employs approximately 142,000 technicians.

In my opinion Win2000 is the best operating system ever but you have to be cautious expecting, say, a new Office version sized windfall because of the technical skills required to convert to Win2000.

How can you throw out 19K ballots? Something was wrong and this is not fair to Gore, Bush or the voter of southern Florida.

Currently with a 941 voter difference and with the previously mentioned discrepancies, it is a very sad state of affairs. Trying to be objective, I really do not think this recount can constitute a victory for Bush.

To me, the entire state of Florida should revote. It will be warfare but I do not see any other alternative. To many problems with to close a race. I do not think that this situation should be solved in the courts or the House.

Bob.
