I think you have taken his Fathers quote out of context, then raised suspecion on his Son. Thought crimes of another convicting the son. Not a very enlightened perspective if you ask me. To answer your question, I do not want to live in a society where one's secret thoughts are held in question. Only actions. If you think a conservative can not act objectively while holding different beliefs then how can the news media report political matters objectively when 85% of them describe themselves as liberal or left leaning? How can Democrats be trusted to treat Conservatives fairly when we already know they harbor different secret thoughts? Fortunately, so far thoughts and beliefs are not illegal but I suspect many are working to change that. I think your own line of questioning shows that. EP
