Scumbria-- Re: Do you consider people with advanced degrees, and blue collar workers, to be society's losers?

$13,000 per year equates to $6.25 per hour, assuming a 40-hour/52-week schedule. I don't think there are many blue-collar workers (certainly not unionized blue-collar) workers making $6.25 per hour. Gore's lead among holders of post-graduate degrees was substantially narrower than was his lead among non-hs graduates: my "mandate" comment was referring more to the non-hs grad worker.

Regardless, every vote is equal, so this is a rather silly discussion. None-the-less, I had to respond to Windsock's false implicit assertion that, "Bush's supporters are intellectual lightweights, just like Bush."

I think each of these candidates has plenty of personal flaws, and that it would be much more beneficial for people to admit that they select candidates based on their own personal feelings towards the issues and then character-assassinate the guy that doesn't share their beliefs, rather than falsely making their choice into some sort of morality play or not supporting the dumb guy issue.
