(indeed, the hints of corruption at the ballot box are somewhat disconcerting -- as is the thought that this election may be decided by a Florida state Judge),

What? That some people are too stupid to punch the hole that the arrow points to? Don't forget that the ballot in that county was designed by a DEMOCRAT so that it could have larger type and be read easier by the elderly. PLUS one of the people bringing the suit claimed in an MSNBC interview that the sample ballot was laid out differently but MSNBC showed this to be false by showing a copy of the sample ballot which was laid out exactly the same way as the official ballot.

This was NOT a trick ballot. I believe that I've voted on that same type of ballot in the past. Personally I think we should get rid of punch card voting all together and use computers, but then people would whine about be afraid of the computer and worrying about the vote collection program being fixed.

In Arizona the ballot has an broken arrow that points to a candidate or issue response. To vote for a candidate or response you use a black pen to bridge the break. We used punch cards until a few years ago.
