Gore Faces a More Personal Loss In Home State and Arkansas

Al Gore suffered a loss of a personal nature in Tuesday's election when
he failed to win his home state — becoming the first candidate since
1972 to do so. He also lost the home state of Bill Clinton, the candidate he
has shared a ballot with for the last eight years.

According to the Voter News Service exit poll taken in Tennessee, honesty was
the quality most voters said was the important for their next president — most
harboring this opinion cast their ballot for Bush.
