As a sidenote,IMO the only person showering himself with shame amid this process is Pat Buchanan: from Netscape-sourced story:

"I would currently advise Ralph, given the numbers that I've seen, that he may be interested in Secret Service protection when he comes in here this morning from some angry Democrats, who I'm sure are going to blame him for the defeat of Al Gore. And if he gets credit for that, more power to him," Buchanan said.

Angry, embittered words from a beaten, defeated, failure of a person. I sincerely hope Buchanan's obnoxious TV career is kaput after this.

There are too many variables, and it would set an unacceptable precedent to void the election. It will have to stand.

Exactly my point why one county should not revote.

We are not victims when we vote. We are free citizens exercising our right. If we make a mistake, our responsibility to ourselves is to correct it on the spot.

These people are not victims, they screwed it up themselves.
