Nortel now selling for approx 4 times 2000 sales and about 3 times 2001 sales which is close to same price sales ratio it had in late 1998 and early 1999 before it became recognized as a leader in fiber optics. IMO, this stock is an incredible value at this price.

It will take a long time to build the internet.
It can also take an equally long time for stocks
to come back.
And who's building the pipeline? Mostly telcos.
They can't borrow money; the bond market is turning
away. Where will the money come to lay the 'net
pipeline? Right now the suppliers, like NT,
are heavily into financing. NT may have 'optical'
expertise, but they certainly _do_ not have
lending expertise.
