What could the voter do? "Umm, sir, could you give me another ballot? This one confused me."

Yes. That's exactly what the voter should do.

That's exactly what they are doing!

What the election board should do is provide a clear ballot so that the voter is not required to be bold. Also, for may years in my Georgia precinct we have had voting machines. These machines prevent one from selecting too many candidates for a race. You simply can't mechanically pull too many levers. Is Palm Beach too poor to provide such machines?

It's absurd if someone who doesn't have the capacity to drive an automobile safely gets behind the sterring wheel and turns on the ignition.

Driving an automobile is a privilege, not a right.
Voting is a right. Pick another example.

Remembering the context of my above explanation, I never called anyone absurd. That doesn't mean the act of voting twice on the same ballot isn't absurd.

I speak as someone who has designed many survey and testing forms when I tell you that the ballot was absurd. It was absurd. I broke several basic rules forms design. It was done by amateurs.

If that ballot is absurd, in what category would you put the IRS income tax forms?

Why are you comparing a simple voting process ("pick one") to tax forms. That's absurd.

Besides, tax forms are designed to keep accountants, tax software, and lawyers employed.

OK, you're right. Its back to the poll tax, literacy tests, personality profiles right there in the voting booth. Let's just put those tests right there for them to pass before they get to even see the ballot.
