Interesting. Another piece of the puzzle. I started using the System Monitor as wily suggested and the relationship between Processor Usage, Unused Physical Memory and the readings in the Resource Meter is interesting. I seem to have an unusually small amount of unused physical memory (this means RAM?) most of the time, eg, right now 1.9M unused out of 128M RAM seems low and I've seen it drop to 32k.
