Actually, I disagree Shadow. On the evening of the election, I was putting my daughter (10) to bed and she asked me if I was going to stay up late watching the election. I told her I would stay up all night if I had too. (prophetic) She asked me why? What difference did it make? She said that she still had to go to school the next day and I had to go to work. I told her that that was one of the most wonderful parts of being a US citizen. Leadership of the most powerful nation on earth as about to transfer and we were free to go on about our usual business without worry. In other countries the transition of power is often fraught with peril, violence, fraud, coercion, etc. Even though the election is still up in the air, it is legal arguments, not coups and bullets, which will determine the final outcome and we can still go about our business even though the result is one no one expected. I'd say that is something to be admired even though I don't think much of Gore or his legal BS.

"The US is quickly becoming the laughing stock of the world"
I disagree. The process as it is being worked out shows the intricacies of our system. The checks and balances. It is only the individuals filing law suits for their own failings that appears silly and then only reflects on them.
