Hey, you should come over my house, when my in-laws are visiting. Both my wife and her mother favor Conspiracies as the source behind all evil.

As for his success in "rising to the top of his party", do you honestly think that he would have risen to the top of anything if his father weren't George Bush?

Hmmmmmmmm. Doesn't Vice-President Gore also come from a family with political clout and wealth? Have we heard you make a balanced argument for favoritism or nepotism on both sides? Or just on the GW/Republican side?

I fully think that being from a family on "the inside", and with wealthy connections, has helped many of our politicians be where they are and who they are. I think, similar to Affirmative Action, it gives people a head start.

But one difference is the ability to Stay, thrive, and rise. I think if either Gore or Bush were "intellectually challenged", as you say, that they would have started in politics, but would not have lasted. And I reject the notion that, despite influence or insider support, "dyslexic, intellectually challenged" people in 2000 are capable of winning their partys' nomination and running for President of the USA.

John Chambers is dyslexic, I believe. As is my brother.

Incidentally, I think GWB has a tremendous amount of emotional intelligence, and is extraordinarily cunning (on the level of Clinton). He has also displayed a real inability to understand policy, and a marked lack of integrity and work ethic. Clearly, we'd all like a man with Gore's policy intelligence, and Bush's emotional intelligence (i.e. Clinton), but of course, one who was ideologically on our side. Such is life.
