global rubbernecking

LOL, Ike...The Americanization of Ike's vocabulary!

thank God you didn't say 'rednecking<g>

We thought Bill Clinton would have proved to be the rednecking of american politics, but Slick wily proved to be an exceptional intelligent rhodes scholar, who would have thunk that for a boy from Arkansas?

Hello Ike,

It's been a while... How is everyone? Just curious if your best case "Over by 5:00 EST" does not materialize, and the worst case would ensue... Litigate their ways to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. The Electorial Laws if it would continue past inaugeration day 01/20/01; allow the speaker of the house to appoint a temporary Vice-President, whom ultimately is the President until the matter can be deceided. What would you see for markets under this scenario?

After all... This is a battle for the most Powerful Office in the world. And Gore did win the majority vote. Then there is the issue with confusion over ballot marking in a completely democratic district in Florida which carries about 3600 democratic Votes. I'd say a little further investigation is needed.

The posture presented by Gore at his press conference yesterday, and the Swat team of 50 Lawyers Air Dropped into the war zone yesterday, seem to say Gore is in for the long haul. Plus there have already been 3 suits filed against the election board by private citizens. I don't see this recount resolving anything by 5:00 est

Best to you and yours

John
