MSDW on q today:

Qualcomm (QCOM-$69-O) WCDMA Chip Introduced Louis Gerhardy

-QCOM introduced Wideband CDMA (WCDMA) chipset to address GSM and TDMA evolution to 3G, now addressing the entire 3G market.
-WCDMA semiconductors (for both handsets and base stations) enable both ends of the connection and drives a rapid time to market.
-We believe QCOM's wireless CDMA IP and ICs position the company extremely well for 3G - strong 3G share anticipated.
-We maintain our Outperform rating.

P.S. the star phone is the Samsung 8500 not the 3500.

<<We are getting really close to something that is really cool. I would have no problem saying QCOM's contribution to digital computing and communications has finally overshadowed all of the accomplishments delivered by the PC industry in the past 20 years.>>

Wow, some statement and probably appreciated by QCOM folks. Thanks.
