Its elitism that screws up this country more than anything else I think the ability to read and fill out (punch) the ballot is an example of something called functional literacy. In a civilized world, people who come out of elementary schools achieve this level of literacy. If this is elitism, I rest my case. These people are literate but because they are old they get confused easily. Have you never seen an older person fumble in a grocery line over a very simple exchange...it has nothing to do with literacy or intelligence. Besides its just been reported that 19k ballots were thrown out in that county because the ballots were filled out incorrectly. The issue is being taken to the courts as I type this post. What a mess!! ted
