So are you suggesting the Democratic election official rigged the ballot?

Lew, the "confusing" ballot is now shown on the CNN website. Anybody who was confused by this shouldn't be voting in the first place.

<<Safety Check Road blocks infront of
polling places in minority areas;>>

No friggin way even the governor can order this without proper justification. You obviously have no clue. I do conduct some traffic studies my self. I know how it works.

<<Design a voting punch card that is confusing, but use
it in only one county, with majority of Dem. voters;>>

You are wrong - the punch card was designed by a democrat. She is not just a citizen - she is a democratic activist.

<<Absentee ballots that have to be witnessed and mailed
one week before the election--this is a variation of the
theory that all is lost that you can't control. Lay down
heavy fire and see who's left (it will probably favor
anal republicans rather than impulsive Democrats).>>

Are you saying the postal department, say in Germany, will favor Republicans over Dems so they can NOT send Dem votes to US. Simply ridiculous.

That said, GOP is perfectly capable of rigging and so do Democrats. GOP did just that in SC against McCain. But, then they were against their own party people. Not the Democratic goons. The odds of GOP goons rigging while Dem goons keeping a watch are next to nil. IMO!

Lew

I really am trying to learn from this. I actually believed for some time that what Republicans wanted was this moral high ground. Yet everything that comes out about Bush doesn't faze them. I no longer think that has anything to do with it. What is it that makes the hard difference between liberals and conservatives??

Bush has a record growing like a weed. It's now rumored he had agirlfriend who got an abortion in his youth. When does the hypocrisy end??

lew, have you seen the ballot in question? I hate to say it, but the folks that got confused ought not be proud of it. they are like the folks in school that answered the question w/o reading the question thoroughly.

btw, i think certain folks with an agenda are blowing this out of proportion.

one news outlet said that florida's election board (or whatever the name was) was receiving calls all day about the ballot. the implication was that many folks felt they did it wrong.

another news article interviewed an employee at said election board and they said all the calls were from pissed off democrats complaining about the ballot. The inference is that b*ers called, not voters.

i can't speak to road blocks and the like.

this is going to last a loooooooooong time...

Lew, the butterfly ballot may be confusing to some but it was approved by both parties well in advance and it was designed by a democrat - I forgot her name and title . Lew do you think the voting in Chicago was totally clean? I doubt it. mike

Lew, you may not like absentee ballots but we cannot deprive our servicemen and women of their right to vote remember they are ready to sacrifice their lives to defend our liberties. Mike
