In addition, Attorney General Janet Reno (news - web sites) said she would review a request for an investigation into allegations of Florida voting irregularities in response to a request from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Buchanan told NBC's ``Today'' show he believed most of the 3,407 votes he got in a Florida county belonged to Gore and that people had voted for him by mistake because of a confusing change in the design of the ballot paper.
``I don't want any votes that I did not receive and I don't want to win any votes by mistake,'' said Buchanan, who has been strongly critical of both Bush and Gore in the past.
``It seems to me that these 3,000 votes people are talking about -- most of those are probably not my vote and that may be enough to give the margin to Mr. Gore,'' he said.
All this raised questions about whether Bush would enjoy legitimacy if he eventually entered office of whether his opponents would always maintain he had stolen the election.
Another 19,000 Votes Disqualified
Democratic Rep. Robert Wexler of Florida said 19,000 votes in Palm Beach County in his state had been disqualified because of the confusing design of the ballot paper.

OX, Yes the two indices are tied but they are different enough for diverging. Last month when we saw the lows the NDX was barely 44 points below the COMP. Right now they are apart by over 150. In severe corrections the large caps tend to hold better than small caps. In March the diff between the 2 indices was over 300 points. Going forward when the bull market resumes I expect the spread to widen again. So in the worst case scenario if the NDX goes to 2800 we could see a retest of the 3000 level on COMP. However, I am leaning more towards a 2900 on the NDX for now, which should keep the COMP above the previous low of 3026.
