I understand.

Read the federalist papers I posted in a previous post.
You can read them online or print and read later.

It discusses the thought process of many points of our constitution. Many reasons why things were done, I had not considered. Reading #62 opened my eyes why there are two senators for each state.

If you don't read any of them, at least read #62.

My question was, if you are for using the popular vote to elect a president, then let's get rid of Mississippi having the same power in the senate as California.

I see the two discussions as similar.
