hi jw

i'm ready to order another 128mb stick at crucial.com. i was ready to pull the trigger, but could not determine from their specs if the module was unbuffered or not. and no one was there to answer the phone on the holiday! imagine that!

meanwhile i am corresponding with our friend mike mckenney about performance options settings in win2000pro. he strongly recommends a swap file size of 4-6x your ram size, and setting initial size=maximum size. this would represent quite a difference from the default, and i'm anxious to try it to see if there is a noticeable enhancement.

anyway, thanks for talking me into the extra 128mb. <g3>

hope you're having a good thanksgiving

:)
