V I partially agree. I think that under those circumstances, he will concede contingent on final approval from the election commission. That way, he leaves himself open to benefit from any remedial measures, and does so without demanding that such measures be put into place. Niether candidate can give the appearance of interfering with due process.

V, I agree, he needs to position himself on the high road and set sights for 4 years out. I also believe he thinks that would be best for the country....don't mean to be corny, however, I think at his core...he believes that.

Hi Volts,

Re....everyone knows I rarely do this

Another ROTPLMAO

I wonder if Gore has the class to step up and accept defeat graciously??

Later,
Joel

<<I will make a prediction - everyone knows I rarely do this - IF BUSH GETS THE FINAL VOTE TONIGHT, I BELIEVE GORE WILL COME OUT AND CONCEDE CONTENGENT ON ABSENTEE BALLOTS COMING IN ON BUSH'S SIDE. He will do this in order to at least say he does not support any other countering activity that might be drudged up.>>

If I had some cash, I;d bet ya against that happening, but since this market has taken all my cash....maybe just a gentlemans bet. Gore will not concede...in fact, Gore will probably win. Regardless, I expect, and gore's camp has already stated this.....if gore loses the recount, he will demand manual recounts, re-votes and all this good stuff. His camp essentially said, "screw a 'timely' conclusion....we want a fair one and if it takes two months, it takes two months".....Gore will drag this on for awhile with lots and lots of legal proceedings...he has already made this clear. What is Bush doing....who know's...he is being awfully quiet...will he concede like a man, or will he to scream foul.........this is just a giant mess.

again, I have no idea if I am buying bargains today, or getting ripped off because another 50% scalping is on the way.........thats what I find most frustrating about all this....after such an awful year, we should be in rally mode as I speak, instead, we are wallowing in massive losses all accross the board.....and me, like an idiot is buying this dip !!!!!
