It's hard for us over here in Europe to appreciate how the market could be taking this election situation so hard. After all, it managed to stay up when Clinton was impeached and that would seem to be far more serious in constitutional terms than a tight election.

BTW, we have hung parliaments over here all the time, but life goes on....

I just saw one of Gore's talking heads (Daley) live on MSNBC stating that the 'irregularities' in Palm Beach will require them to work with voters to initiate 'legal action'. These guys smell a Bush victory and are going to drag this thing through the mud. It's gonna get ugly.

If Daley does this, the Democrat party will lose many moderate members. Gore might be the last Democrat elected President for a long long time. Somebody better tell Daley and Jackson this isn't a local Chicago election.
