disu- Re:"Berkshire's latest acquisition & investment..."

It seems as if a trend may be forming here in Buffett's recent string of acquisitions:

1) Justin Industries - (Bricks and Tiles)
2) Shaw - (Carpets)
3) Moore - (Paints)

Add that to furniture franchises (Nebraska Furniture Mart, Star and others) and you have the makings for a home improvement/furnishing superstore.

Besides being a collection of fine businesses, there appears to be an underlying strategy to Buffet's buying recently. Maybe he and Charlie are thinking about all the baby boomers that will be retiring and buying (or upgrading) their dream homes in the next 20 years. Have you ever noticed how many retirees hang out at Home Depot?

What are your thoughts?
