Is the selloff only related to uncertainity over elections ? I mean I don't think it tmatters that much in the longer
term whether it is Gore or Bush ?

I disagree. We cant be responsible for people's stupidity at the polling booth. Allowing people to vote again opens a can of worms and sets a bad precedent.
As long as there is no fraud, the recount + overseas ballots should be the final say.
The loser should concede and let's move on!
