I'm not talking about that, which anyone (including me, by the way) deplored. What Nixon did in 1960 by not challenging the crooked Illinois count was statesmanlike, whether you liked Nixon or not.

Both of the candidates should take a pledge to abide by the recount, now matter what the result. It's the right thing. I feel certain that Bush would do it. Gore has already indicated he'll sue.
