the election for either Mr. Bush or
Mr. Gore .. I would hope at that point
that whomever the loser is will have the
decency to get in front of a TV camera
and concede .. the country doesn't need this ..

I don't think that trait is limited to the Democrats.

Let's take a wild scenario in which the federal judge hearing the case rules that there must be a new vote in Palm Beach county. There will be a democratic and a republican lobbyist for each octogenarian. Old folks will be able to supplement their social security with juicy bribes from each camp. There will be tv reporters camped out in every retirement community, and political billboards lining every inch of Okeechobee Drive. It will be the most excitement and fun those old folks have had since the celebrations following WW1.
