Foriegn investors may not fully appreciate the ability of the American political system to absorb these things.

I was in there buying some stuff when the panic got thickest - When Warren Christopher was announcing "severe and unusual irregularities". I may sell quickly and wait for the next scare to spook the markets sharply. We may get a fantastic melt down that we can talk about for years. "Gee, I wish I woulda bought stocks back in 2000 when the attorneys worked out a settlement to let both Gore and Bush serve as joint Presidents of the U.S."

Joe,

The market plunge began as soon as Christopher made his statement. The market may be neutral to the candidates, but it will vote against uncertainty.

Dave
