I listened to the webcast. The one thing that analysts will take away from it that is not open to interpretation is that ASP for microprocessors will remain flat next year. They will remove $100+ in their spread sheets and replace it with $90. Their forecasted numbers for 2001 will drop and they will downgrade the stock tomorrow. I'm still holding until after Comdex, but I should have sold at $24.5 a few days ago.

Pravin.

I kept getting interrupted and didn't hear the whole thing. Was anything said about the road between 1.2 GHz and 1.5 GHz?

Where will AMD be when P4 is introduced?

Did they really say end of Q2 for 1.5 GHz or "by Q2?"

If AMD cannot convince the world that 1.2 GHz DDR is faster than 1.5 GHz P4 (very likely, IMO), they will have to sell 1.2 GHz to OEM's for $200. Then their best pricing strategy is a very flat curve from 0.9 GHz to 1.2 GHz with OEM prices ranging from $100 to $200 and Durons in the $50 to $80 range.
