NW - I can't recall a revote. The media said it did happen in some obscure race many years ago, but I don't recall the particulars they mentioned. Do you let the entire state revote? Just Palm Beach? How about the Republicans making noises about Iowa? Do we let them do it also? A real mess, I do find watching the events unfold fascinating, because it is so unprecedented. Finally, an interesting news story, as opposed to the typical criminal stuff.

John

<ot>Hi NW - actually, funny you asked, FWIW, there is precedent in local election

boston.com

In fact, MA has *outlawed* the kind of ballot Palm Beach County was using 4 yrs ago b/c of the problem

Besides, it is time to upgrade our polling facilities with CPQ equipment <VBG>

best, Bosco

You can't revote in a case like this. Certainly, IF there is a revote, the WHOLE country would have to revote because then the election REALLY is determined by one county or state. That can't be right.
The reason is that they would be voting with additional information that none of us had...essentially an illegal control of the agenda.
