Hi Jim -

I heard an official last night say that about 2,400 absentee ballots were returned in 1996.

I also heard someone from the state say this morning that the majority of the absenteee ballots are already in this year. I don't know how many were sent out or if he knew what he was talking about.

Could be as high as 5000, too had heard 2500 at first.
