Was it withdrawn because the remedies are available at the state level?

Generally, cases of this sort will be thrown out because of "failure to exhaust appropriate administrative remedy."

The plainiffs have 5 days from the election day to file the suit, which was premature. It was best to withdraw and hold the suit in abeyance until more of the recount work is completed.

It was interesting to watch the RNC presentation and see Carl Rove make the insinuation that the Buchanan vote in Palm Beach County was legitimate. His reasoning was that there was a recent 110% increase in Reform Party registration in the county. Bill Schneider, CNN's political commentator quickly got on and said that even Pat Buchanan believes that his vote in Palm Beach County was an outlier.
Schneider warned, FWIW, both parties to avoid politicizing this part of the battle. I think he's hoping for too much, we are in play. Though, in the end, the processes of the law are fairly clear and this will be resolved by the rule of law.

The Democrats were equally if not more guilty of playing politics with this. Fortunately, our system is fully capable of resolving this........ by Christmas, most likely.

Too soon to jump into the stock market, I'm afraid. :)

Best, Ray
