Nope, enough studies have shown that better than 80% of voters vote just like their moms or dads voted, meaning that if most blacks voted for Gore, chances are so will their sons and daughters in the service.

Barger: I would bet serious coin that the black serviceman vote would pretty closely reflect the national average of 19 or 20 Gore supporters to every one Bush supporter. You also have the factor that Gore was a veteran and Bush was a weekend warrior/big-time fighter pilot thanks to daddy.

When I was overseas military, there were no big get out the vote drives; Officers were more inclined to take the trouble than enlisted.
