There were tens of thousands of ballots nationwide that were incorrectly filled out. Who the votes were for is irrelevant. The remedy for incorrectly double marked ballots is the same in every state...they are tossed out. -dave

mishedlo... A disallowed ballot is a disallowed ballot and does not count, regardless of how it became disallowed. The reason for this mess is that some people didn't understand (too bad, no excuse), it could also have been the erroneous early results for Florida claiming that Gore had won. Imagine standing in line to vote for Bush and you're told Gore has won... what do you do with your vote? Me I would become angry and punch double holes for Gore and Buccanon or the Socialist. In this day and age why do we use such archaic methods and equipment? This problem has existed for years... now all of a sudden Big Al is angry because it affects him. What about all the other politicians in years past... where was Gore then? Where was the DNC and the RNC?
