John - up until late Tuesday night, I was convinced that this year's election was one of the nation's most boring and uneventful ones from a historical perspective. But within a few hours, it appears it's become one of the country's most controversial elections ever. And the way things are going, it may be dragged out even longer in the courts. Gore has requested a hand recount in Florida - and if the hand recount is not decided in his favor, then legal action is most likely next. But if the hand recount goes to Gore, then I'm sure Bush will pursue legal action. And now they are recounting votes in New Mexico. What happens if we're still recounting come January? How fitting that the election of the president should end up in court battles.
