<ot>Hi MeDroogies - to be fair, according to Mr Mark Shield, a nationally synicated columnist, before the election, the GOP has already done the legal ground work to challenge the outcome if Gov Bush won the beauty contest but not the electorial college [that was the prevalent wisdom.] It was on PBS Newshour. And the fact that Mr Paul Gogol [sp?] of WSJ, who is a GOP partisan, has not refuted Shield's assertion, there may be some truth to it. So much for your romantic notion of "decorum and honor!"

Even if it is true, I would not call them names b/c I would be missing my own point. I am not looking from the Dem's or Rep's side, I am looking from the perspective of the people. This voting privilege is as close to an inalienable right to us as we can imagine. One person one vote. Old people get to vote; blind people get to vote; illiterates get to vote. Being a globetrotter like yourself, maybe it is a no brainer. But rednecks like myself sometimes are slow to follow thru. If we screw up b/c the design is not intuitive to us, does that mean we are 2nd class citizen.

America has come a long way. Our founding fathers have allowed only male land owners to vote b/c of the time and circumstance. Now, common people like myself have this luxury, it should be protected at all cost. If the recount and other redresses are in Gov Bush's favor, then the Dems and Nadarites should shut up. But I would be most concerned if they are gagged in the name of "decorum and honor" before the matter is properly resolved. This is not a democratic or republican issue, this is an American issue!

best, Bosco
