That is THE question. The Dow broke down after four tests in '97 and '98; the NAZ/NDX is doing amazingly well considering that.

Don .. I don't think that Support can ...

be destroyed by a retest of the support it simply adds to the Base. The only way I know of to break support is to ... break support with Conviction. The descending triangles are part of Horizontal Support .... Which is holding well I must say.

In the end of a down trend the resolution of a descending triangle is an UpWard Move .. and that is where they become very effective.

It all revolves on whether one feels this is the end of the down trend or not. I'm looking for all the clues I can find and trying to use those along with confirmation by other indicators we have at our disposal to give me clues. I wish I knew .. I'm still in study of all this stuff. I think I always will be.
