I don't immediately believe much of anything I hear from the media without either confirmation, or at least reflecting a bit to see if it makes sense. And I bet you dollars to doughnuts that Al Gore sure doesn't.

My dad, long retired but at one time an AP political reporter, taught me that at a very early age.

Point is when he was down by 1700+ vote he conceded, but retracted to Fla. recount law. Recount looks iffy at best for Gore so he is pushing the will of the people.

The will of the people is defined by the electoral college. It was originally put in place to prevent the most populous state dominating the elections. Lets face it without it NH, SD, ND...etc would have no impact and candidate would cater to NY, CA, IL, FL, MI, PA...etc.

Paly by the rules and we are not here to protect voters from themselves, VOTER COMPETENCY was out lawed long ago.
