I think 4000 Palm Beach ballots had 2-punches for Senator and there were only 2 people running !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You think wrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were 7 Senatorial candidates on the Palm Beach ballot. And the 1% error rate recorded is not at all unusual, given the 19th century punch card system used to record votes. Most of the 1% error is because the little pieces of paper fail to separate from the back of the ballot even after you punch them correctly. Of course, old people who have trouble lining up the small needle punch with the rather small punch hole are bound to make more mistakes. Should our elections depend on precise eye-hand coordination of the voters? This has nothing to do with intelligence, you know. When you get older, I am sure you will feel differently.

Here is a link for those that want to get their facts straight. It has Florida, Palm Beach, and Broward County results. The two counties are very similar in terms of voting patterns.
