Latest from AP:

With 65 of 67 counties reporting, Bush's lead is now down to 225.

Like others, I find that the most amazing thing about this Florida recount is that they have found almost 3000 votes that were mysteriously missing in the first count, and that the missing votes were almost 4:1 for Gore. The second most amazing thing is that in Palm Beach county, 15% of the black vote was invalidated.

Since the margin of error is many times higher than the voting margin, I personally think that Florida's results should just ignored and the entire state should be removed from the Union. That would solve the electoral vs. popular vote problem, and as a side benefit it would instantly transform all of those Florida spring breaks into exotic international travel. The Floridians would like it because the FBI would stop breathing down their necks for every little racist incident, and Cuba would have some new neighbors to trade with. We might as well do this now; it will all be sinking into the Gulf soon anyway.
