Well I thought the extra stuff was accidental, but looking at the filing itself:

This document (with additional portions of Section 1.6 omitted) was originally filed as Exhibit 10-18 to Registrant's Form 10-Q for period Ending June 30,1999]

So the additions were deliberate, and I withdraw my "indiret" gibe. What else changed besides the part you mentioned?

All I can think of is that there was a time limit embedded in some confidentiality agreement between DGI and Novo, and for some reason DGI wants this additional information out in the open now. Seems a stretch, but I can't think what else would prompt this. Still can't believe it's the SEC - we've all seen elided documents where practically all that was left was boilerplate and the occasional "provided that" floating amidst a sea of asterisks.
