Best defense is....so am wondering where's James Bakers's requests?

Haven't heard him or the Bush campaign emphasize that 9% of voters in the Jacksonville area had no place on their ballots to vote for any presidential candidate! Isn't that a largely Rep area? And 9% in Jacksonville is a lot more than a few thousand votes.

So far, this is looking like one side putting on a full court press while the other side just reacts.

Like to see a little action from Baker and his team in Florida, before this shoot'in match is decided by default.

What do you think, Doug?

Ok so Palm and Volusia counties will be recounted after the first recount and they will be recounted by hand. Wouldn't it be something if after the Demos know what the first recount is, that all of a sudden enough Gore votes show up to put him over the top? Would they dare to be that bold? He He He. My o my.

At this point I personally believe that the spectacle of Al Gore is becoming very unseemly

Speaking of making a spectacle of himself....

Geez, Doug...as an ex-Democrat, you are starting to sound like an ex-smoker, very fervent and a tad sanctimonious. Do you really believe that Bush and his people wouldn't be screaming bloody murder and filing lawsuits left and right if GORE was up 225 votes out of 5.8M votes cast (or one out of every 26,000 votes) in the decisive state? Is it really that much to ask that the vote be carefully re-tabulated? Do you care who won the popular vote in Florida or do you just want your guy in? It certainly fits right in here at Paranoia Central but I hope you guys aren't picking stocks with this kind of tunnel vision.
