If Gore can either manipulate the vote in Florida sufficiently, or can legally maneuver into additional elections that he finally wins, we will indeed have "The fix in Florida", and it will rank right up there in electoral history with the voting dead in Chicago. And interestingly enough, a Daley is in charge again! The death of the constitutional system will indeed be a tragedy if we allow legions of lawyers to overturn an election simply because they don't like the result. Why bother voting in the future unless you are voting for the correct side? After all, if the result isn't "correct" then all the attorneys have to do is come up with some excuse for invalidating the election and trying again (and again, and again...) until they prevail. Like you, I believe there is some hanky panky going on in Florida. I think it is more than a little odd that nearly all the significant changes in election results have happened in Democratic-controlled precincts. It is indeed interesting that they are able to "find" so many extra votes. Is it a coincidence that the county with the highest percentage vote for Gore, Gadsden, also "found" the most additional votes on a percentage basis, an incredible 2% additional votes. Furthermore, I think that if they are given additional chances to recount the vote totals will continue to grow. Yes, this election won't be over until it has been stolen by Gore. At least I hope he steals in the old-fashioned way, by stuffing the ballot box. If the courts start turning over elections because they don't like the results, then our constitution will be little more than a farce. Carl
