Indeed, if Bush assumes the presidency under these conditions he will do so in the complete loss of support from independents, undecideds and will be left to function solely with the mechanism of his own party. And support from his own party will invariably erode as the independents and undecideds, in concert with Democrats who feel they got ripped off, together with supporters of minor candidates will put such enormous pressure on members of Congress that a Bush Administration will become ungovernable. Add to this the possibility we haven't seen the last of Bush scandals from his past, and the nation will be in complete turmoil.
