ajb, no I didn't factor in any ASP increase, I just used AMD's revenue guidance of > 22% year over year for 2001 and the seperate estimate of high teens growth for Q1 2001 vs. Q1 2000.

So I used revenue increases of 18%, 22%, 24%, 24% for the four quarters compared to the four quarters of 2000.

I think AMD followed our advice of keeping guidance simple -- they just gave direct revenue guidance. You don't have to assume anything about ASP or volumes or product launches, just substract expenses and you have the profits.

Of course, 22% was the MINIMUM revenue increase and I would assume that it is based on assuming about 30% for flash and 18% for CPU's. That seems to me to be extremely conservative since it could happen with NO market share increase and an 18% increase in computer shipments.
