T2, I could not agree more. Several questions about Niles: How long has he covered the communications semiconductor companies? Has he ever covered communication systems companies or service providers? Does he know anything about the radical shift in the mix of capital expenditures by the service providers? Does he know anything about the nuances WITHIN CAPEX? Does he have any feel for the merchant silicon cycle and the implications that the acceleration in DESIGN WINS has for the footprint in the systems solutions? Chuck Philips was a decent analyst in back office software, but he completely misunderstood the importance of the CRM sector. His long standing negative calls on Clarify and SEBL probably cost a lot of lemming portfolio managers some performance. TD
